Lava does not killed me

Before, placing a lava on top of a player would burn them but when i do it it does not burn the player unless the player moves 1 pixel.
It does not realistically make sense for a smiley to live inside the lava.

EDIT: Try it yourself
1) Go to your world
2) Place a lava block on top of yourself
3) Nothing happens. You are alive and no protection effect nor god mode is needed. Looks like hax to me.
4) (same applies to every effect)

afaik i can move freely in lava in bombot (i get that lava indicator at the top but it quickly goes away), though haven't been there for a while and not sure if that's a thing anymore..
