Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

"Last post: 1969-12-31 7:00:00 pm" the date function might be a little wonky.

Anybody who's part of the test PM I manually wrote into the database will hopefully see it show up when they visit the index page, although I still need to finish writing up the index page as well as all the other pages like the actual PM viewing page and the PM sending page.

Nah, I just wrote "1" as the timestamp because I didn't feel like finding out a real one. That PM was written into the database by hand since the PM sending page isn't written up yet. Dates are formatted by the forum's lovely format_time() function that formats time however you asked it to in your profile. That function is my favorite because it means I don't have to keep flipping back and forth between a text editor and the manual on PHP's date() function.

Re: Update Discussion for forums

First time I was able to get some real work done on the new PM system in about a week because of Thanksgiving week craziness. Fixed a bug, and wrote up a large chunk of the backbone for the PM page, as well as the sketch for what it should look like when it's finished:

I rehashed the page of conversation to figure out how on earth different was going to implement IRC.

tbh, slightly disappointed

I mean I probably still could, even if it's just embedding KiwiIRC or something onto its own page.

Re: Update Discussion for forums

PM viewing page is completed, if the beta testing nubs could beta test, that'd be great. I'll get started working on the PM sending page next.

EDIT: A bug has been fixed where viewed PMs did not show up as having been viewed.

It's a fruit, once you make a single bite in it, becomes very expensive and starts emitting light.

EDIT: you can continue eating it, but it loses all its value.

Re: Update Discussion for forums

Made some more progress on the PM sending page. Sending is technically working, but not hooked up to the rest of the system just yet.

Which reminds me,

While I was making the PM sending page I found out why emojis are broken on the forums. FluxBB filters them out because MySQL doesn't like 4 byte characters, or at least it used to. I don't know what version of MySQL the forums are using off the top of my head so I don't know if it's recent enough that it's been "fixed", but even if it has, I'd need to convert all the tables to a new character encoding to be able to store 4 byte emojis correctly, which I'd really rather not do for something as small as emoji.

None that would impact the forums in any meaningful way.

Re: Update Discussion for forums

I think Proc should be orange along with the rest of the ingame admins. Also make all the ingame mods colored purple.

Proc's color could be Proc's call though idk

Also why are some names bolded and some not? too lazy to find a pattern
