why do artists be like "lol this is just a silly thing i did" when it is obvious they put a lot of effort into making it. it is **** annoying and helps no one.

Maybe that artist is capable of drawing more beautiful renderings and the silly thing they did isn't at the artist's true potential.
Like my silly cactus only took about 30-45 minutes. But this dragon took me several hours. 30 minutes is probably considered a lot of effort, but it's probably below the artist's standard.
