A Forum and Community to the Open Letter

sometimes i look up in the sky and it's just velociraptors
enormous pan-dimensional velociraptors just flying through the air

then some of them would come down and place their feet on the hot pavement and tell me, "it's never good to be a velociraptor"

the first time this ever occurred to me was when i was 7 and spending the weekend at my uncle's farm

i was drinking a wonderful pink lemonade when a fleet of velociraptors covered the sky with their reptilian wings
i was confused and thinking, "why is this happening velociraptors don't have wings"

but they do

science was wrong

so i was looking up and it's just velociraptors and even more velociraptors

and guess what

one of them came down and talked to me

i remember distinctly what she told me

she said, "it's never good to be a velociraptor"

and then flew off
out into the oblivion

i never saw her again

but now i am old, it is time to lie down in my new wooden bed

in the final moment of my life, she came back and put her tendons on my bedside and said, "do you want to be a velociraptor?"

i said yes and cried as she turned me into one

my skin turned into scales and my eyes turned yellow
i felt my teeth grow sharp and i was so excited to fly

and i did

i flew
