Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Make c̶u̶r̶s̶e̶ timers in general accurate again

Right now they seem to have a range of +/- a half of a second or so for when they actually kill you. I'd love to use curse blocks for precise timings but right now that's just out of the question.

EDIT: Ok so apparently timers in general are completely broken, since it's been brought to my attention that one of my worlds is entirely broken now. Lava is no longer consistent regarding its timer and it also gives a lot more time than it did before, making each mini in one of my worlds a joke.

This is interesting but what are you trying to say?

the curse works like this:
you touch it, it waits the time you selected, then it extra-wait something around 0.3 seconds and you die
this extra seconds ruins everything

edit: we also need decimal times for curse please D:

Bobithan, it's something called lag; nothing you can do about it except accept it won't be accurate.

Example of lag affecting deaths

When was lava given a timer similar to curse? Before it had the timer, it worked perfectly for me. No matter what, you would always go the same distance in the same time. It allowed me to make precisely timed minigames where if you messed up at all you wouldn't get to the end. This was the world.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention that that world is pretty much broken now. They obviously had a method of killing you at precisely the correct time before, but now it's entirely different. What gives?

So does that mean that the timer in the top left is what's screwing everything up?

Apparently it's because the timer is now serversided rather than client sided. I asked Proc about it in irc and he said he's putting it on the todo list so I guess this thread doesn't really have a purpose anymore.

I guess if he hasn't burned the forums to the ground yet, he's probably not going to.
