Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

An option to disable the map. This means people cannot open the minimap.
This would make it so people don't judge a world by it's art, but by it's gameplay.

Open minimap then:
*Opend
*Player got X gold coins hi:)
*Player got X blue coins
*Player got X switch
*Player won the map
*Player got a crown
*Player Stood on X Y
etc
EDIT: can be conbination of this functions like:
*Player got 20 gold coins and got a crown

Also, maybe add a 'map block' similar to the 'spawn point'.
If there is no 'map block' in the level, players get the map as usual.
If there is a 'map block', then players cannot open the map until they find and move over the map block.
I have permanently left the game and forum.
EE is an entertaining game and I enjoyed playing it...
...but it's time for me to move on.

Yes, like one of M1's maps he made, and has a sign asking to not look at the map until you get a place that I will not remember

But there should still be an option to disable the map whether there's a map block or not. Or I guess the owner could just put the map block in an unreachable part of the level. But the block would require energy, meaning that it requires energy to disable the map in your level - which it shouldn't.

Sometimes I like to open the mini map and see where I am in the level.
SOmetimes people don't want you to do that! Maybe it's an adventure map and knowing where you are would ruin the fun. So many people nowadays judge a world by its map and if it doesn't look good then they'll leave. Disable minimap will stop that and actually allow players to produce FUN maps.

Been planning for an adventure map and showing the minimap would ruin the surprise and telling people not to look at the map will not work.
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

An option to disable the map. This means people cannot open the minimap.
This would make it so people don't judge a world by it's art, but by it's gameplay.
This would make invisible portal levels SO much harder... I love it
17 i think

Invisible portals don't even show up on the minimap

Invisible portals don't even show up on the minimap
But you wouldn't be able to see when you went into an identical room except for the location of invis blocks/portals.
suddenly random sig change

That's the point! Some owners want this. They don't want you to look at the minimap to cheat and see where you are. It makes it boring if you do
Lets say the owner is making a level where you must go into secret portals into similar looking places. There are levels like this and the minimap completely ruins it all.

I'd just like to give this a bump, and ask if there's any plans on implementing this, because it'd be really helpful.
In one of Dazz' threads I literally said we would. I believe it was the "Art of Killing Art" thread.

This suggestion is removing the minimap from view when you are in the level and not from the lobby though. Unless you meant you were planning to do both.
I guess they mean both level and lobby, I need to re-read better.

Oh, it seems then we weren't talking about the same thing, Nou, while for the sake of improving the game and giving more options to the players I sustain this option ''to disable the map in game-room'', few months ago when I montioned about this, I was refering for an option to disable the map from the lobby. Both options would be great, especially if the owner can choose independently. The one about the lobby, is a pain sometimes, because it really lowers the amount of users that visit levels simply because they look bad at first sight.
