Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I'm excited for this change, but I hope there will be something new to spend energy on.

Spending energy on blocks forever wasn't something useful either //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

I had the same thing in mind about the feel of the game.
If something gets implemented it will need a design change, we will get used to it I guess
nothing important to discuss anyways

Ask MrShoe! I see it as a mistake, but one that isn't biting us yet. Removing something in game will cause people to rage (some people are just searching for reasons to complain) and we have decided to never remove stuff, unless we have to.

EDIT:

Beta will be still available, of course. The earth will also keep rotating, and everything else not mentioned in the first post will keep working like it used to.

I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

Re: The Future of Everybody Edits

Exciting news.

I have one question though, will the standalone client be available for those not registered to everybodyedits.com, such as kongregate, armorgames, facebook, etc.? Wasn't sure if you could add a place for the auth token and userID to log in or if that would be a bad idea/impossible.

GM doors/gates aren't really cosmetic

The reasons they still exist are:

1. to compensate existing builders club users who paid to get blocks with these functionality
2. they aren't overused / abused; most people don't care about them

I mean, I get that. Why were they introduced in the first place though?

Re: The Future of Everybody Edits

I have few questions about bots.

1. Are we going to need to program in java script now?
2. Is PlayerIOclient going to be removed? All the bots will have to be rewritten if we are switching hoster.

Yes. We'll add support for the standalone client and Kongregate itself also supports Unity.

Elizabeth53999 wrote:

Gems/money only.

Freckleface wrote:

No.

bgic wrote:

Beta gives you access to a different set of blocks plus beta access to features in beta. GM is the list of cosmetic stuff mentioned in the post. They have nothing to do with each other.

Re: The Future of Everybody Edits

Will there be any compensation for people who spent a lot of energy and/or gems to get more special bricks? Setting people who bought 10 and 2000 of a brick to the same level isn't fair at all. For over five years I've logged into EE to spend my energy on bricks just to get thousands of them. If nothing changes all the effort will be made worthless in one update. It's good to think of the newer players, but please don't forget your veterans.

Energy is free and constantly replenished so...
And you're getting unlimited blocks anyways so what other compensation could there be?

For gems, the staff said you don't get refunds, but it might be different in this situation idk

Paying gems toward EE should be seen as a donation (or a fauxnation, if you will) so I doubt refunds will occur

Nothing. Turning the items into infinite uses should be seen as a positive change, not an opportunity for refunds/compensation.

Be grateful you don't have to buy more anymore //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

I'm just excited to have the unlimited limited blocks. Many others and I have been restricted to making great levels but now that will be lifted! yayy

For 5 years I've been spending my energy on special bricks so I could build without limit, and my dream is finally coming true, I'm going to have as many as I want!

Rejoice!

Finally I'll be able to make comics worlds without any worries!

I bought over 180 signs and I still lack at most of my worlds.

This is a false statement.

Re: The Future of Everybody Edits

it's kinda strange about the unlimited items, for a side it's good because we have infinite, but on other it's bad because some of us spent +100 000 energy on they

Re: The Future of Everybody Edits

Since there's no way for me to buy anything within EE with real money, I'll continue to buy Signs without moral hangovers about buying 150 of them just to see all the daily effort go to waste.

But I'm happy about this new possibility, I'm sure a lot of players was daydreaming of this.

Is Gold going to be an one-time payment, or you will need to buy months like you do with Builders Club?

I can make servers of anything if I put dedication into it
And if I don't, no server
I'm on Steam too

"Gold Membership is a subscription you can choose to purchase like Builders Club, but with a different set of features."

This means it'll be a recurring payment like BC.
