Okay so maybe updates at 2 in the morning weren't the best idea but it works for now and I'll make it less horrifying tomorrow. At least I'm lucid enough to realize that it's not the best way of getting the job done.

EDIT: The update was that I fixed a bug where admods couldn't view PMs that they were given permission to. This also fixed another bug where admods couldn't click that little link all the way on the right to jump to the latest PM.

Added the BBCode bar to PMs and added a BBCode bar to signatures. The signature BBCode has some BBCodes removed from it because the forums don't allow you to use those ones in signatures anyway.

Actually, if you use the [hide ] tag, it will hide it on the white themes too. It's a bug that it didn't hide it on the nostalgia theme, too, but that's been fixed now.

Every now and then a new thread pops up about something trivial, and the immediate generic response seems to be "Why did you make this a thread?"

If a topic is trivial, it doesn't necessarily follow that it isn't worth posting, so some compromise should be made.

How about this forum gets a place to post small topics, which can be wooted but cannot be replied to? This would be similar to the EE news alert system.

Made some pretty good progress. The database side of things was written up, and the first chunk of the PM index page written up and working:

Anybody who's part of the test PM I manually wrote into the database will hopefully see it show up when they visit the index page, although I still need to finish writing up the index page as well as all the other pages like the actual PM viewing page and the PM sending page.
