Forum Titles/Achievements

Rather than having an useless coin system to buy pre-selected titles, we could have titles based on an achievement of an user and have a page to select a rank.

Examples:

Addicted Poster - Post 500 posts.
Dictator - Create 20 topics.
EE Homeboy/Girl - Win Going Home contest.

(just not these crappy forum titles above)

I don't think FluxBB is too evil to not add that.

You mean the title? I'm pretty sure they're thinking of using coins and the bank idea to be able to buy titles.

maybe there could be achievements (in the form of little icons with tooltips below your avatar) AND ee.forumify's titles

also i have ideas for achievements:
Flagger: send 5 valid reports (report is marked valid if it is dealt with)
Caffeinated: make 50 posts in an hour (excludes forum games. achievement is removed if you get warned for any of the posts)

and a secret one that wouldn't be viewable in any future achievement lists:
Ironic Flagger: send a valid report for a post being off-topic in "off-topic discussion"

These will just make people want to report posts even though they may not be report-worthy and post useless things.

with Flagger, the post is only counted towards the achievement if it is dealt with and the user that has been reported is warned/banned
with Caffeinated, any progress towards the achievement is instantly removed if the posts are warned against (preventing anything spammy/off-topic/otherwise useless), and posting in forum games doesn't count (might want to be extended to the off-topic discussion thread)

What about "Inactive Member"?

It can be for users that have been inactive for 1 month.

I got the title when i got my 2 month (supposed-to-be-permanent) ban.

I seriously thought (?HG?) was an example of "Inactive Member" being a legit auto-title
except the post was... well... you.... here.... yeah
I guess I didn't read this thread closely.

A good idea, except we might not like seeing how many folks actually are inactive...
