can't pm chat-banned friends

atmosphere is a chatbanned guy, he's on my friendlist, we can talk, but why we can't send him private messages?
fix plz

Umm haven't you checked the new update? it says that guest and chat-banned can't see chat anymore :l

Before the update, they couldnt pm either. I tried pm-ing LAME but he cant receive/see it

No, if you are chat banned it is probably as a punishment.  You probably abused the chat in some way, therefore you lose your rights to PM in game.

He's asking to pm only friends

I look like a complete idiot when I try to talk to ninja. And as you said, it's his fault for being chat banned, not mine. So why would I get punished for it?

That logic doesn't really work. Any ban will affect others from communicating with that person but that doesn't mean that the others are the ones being punished.

you didn't understand, friends of chatbanned can talk to they, but can't pm
also, atmosphere asked for chatban, he didn't abused the chat, it's not him fault

Well he did ask for a chatban which IS his fault. He should've not asked for one in the first place..

I think the real point here is why would you allow them to talk to friends normally, but not PM friends. For the chatbanned person, it makes no difference, for the person speaking to them it's just annoying. There's no point in this restriction.

I don't see the whole "asking for chatban" thing, surely if you ask for it you should accept whatever the consequences of it. If you had it as an actual punishment then you wouldn't be able to do with messaging ingame at all.
