Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

An error has occured. What I can do?

Error: Could not connect to smtp host "smtp.sendgrid.net" (110) (Connection timed out).

The connection timed out, but my internet works. Not sure, but it happened when I posted.

Sendgrid, the service the forums use to send emails to people, has been throwing a fit recently. It says that whenever it fails to send an email, there's nothing wrong with your internet connection. Just go back and reload the page. Odds are, whatever you were trying to do worked just fine even though emails didn't get sent successfully.

I get that when I try to send a PM. I reload, and I still get that error.

Did you hit the back button before reloading so you're not staring at the error when you reload? If you don't do that you might end up sending 50 copies of whatever instead of 1. For some reason though I get the impression that the PMs system (Really starting to dislike this one), unlike literally every other system on the forum, sends emails out BEFORE actually taking whatever action you asked it to.

I second this
Not because I saw the code, but because you included the "odds are" which suggests uncertainty, so I'm sharing an affirmation.

yes
and it looks like odds aren't

took about 5 tries, with waiting 45 sec between "sends"

To do what? Post a reply? Create a new topic? PMing someone? Sending a new PM?

Well, I get that occasionally from posting. I guess that's a thing due to the subscription process, right?

maybe a cute little try/catch envelope?

or addressing the issue. Maybe someone gave you a malformed email address? Dunno.
