Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

My idea is that the map owner should be able to set zones where only he/she can edit, even if other people have edit. Like for boss-to-code levels where you don't want anyone to edit the actual boss, or maps where the code is a prize.
Maybe the command for this could be:
/noedit sethere
After doing this command twice, a red box will show surrounding the area you set and for anyone that has edit, moving into it gives them the message "You are now entering an anti-edit zone, you cannot edit!" and leaving it give them the message "You have left the anti-edit zone, you may now edit."
/noedit clear
Want your anti-edit zones removed? Move into it and type this command!
Of course, you can add more than one anti-edit zone.
I don't know how well this would work or how useful it would be, but it's a nice addition. What are your thoughts?

I really liked the idea of edit zones, too. There was one in a tutorial at one point, but it was removed for unknown reasons. I think they would be a great addition to the game (along with this idea).
