Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Okay, I've had this idea ever since I started playing everybody edits. What is it exactly? Well, you have your normal key doors and key gates and what not, but; what if you could decide who could enter and not enter doors and gates? Just by, putting in a username!
(You should be able to put in multiple usernames in the same door/gate to allow multiple users to enter/not enter.)

1) You can use /teleport name x y to put certain players in certain spots
2) You can use a bot that teleports players to specific x,y locations
3) You can use portals

1) The owner may not be present
2) The owner may not know how to program, or may not be present
3) Isn't specific per player

per username, there are so many players in ee. and unless you really only want one person going through a door it would be unfair.
it would be better for something like a friend door or a win door (once you win the door opens or closes). what reason could you have to only let one person in. if its to get to a place just tp them.

Its not about being fair or not, though. I can think of many personal reasons on why this is a good idea.

What about teams?
This is a false statement.

Still not specific per player

Well, one example is RPGs, or a 'leveling up system'. Say you want to save someones progress in your level, like the amount of coins or such, this is an easier way of doing so rather than using portals and the /tp command.

I don't like this idea at all.
It's actually very unnecessery because there are other alternete solutions for that, like other people said: teleporting and teams.
(Yes teams isn't user specific BUT you can just write a command to give player team then only that player can go through the team doors/gates. That simple. It's actually very similar method to your idea - instead writing the name in "player doors/gates" you write a team command. )
What would be this even used for? I mean you didn't say any reason why should this be added ingame.

Inb4 the lobby is flooded with worlds that are locked by username blocks
I don't see this being any use apart from a very small number of cases; rather get new awesome blocks than this thing.
Thank you eleizibeth ^

I doubt the good worlds would have these.
Just the espanol hotel rpg roleplaying code is 1111 worlds which no one really cares about???

I care about the Brazil hotels when they pop up - can't speak any Portuguese but doesn't stop me from having fun.
