save state of world so you can finish it later
Being able to save the state of some world at special checkpoints or something would help a lot with some of the longer levels. I just don't have the will to play through one of those monster endurance levels. I gave up half way and I really don't feel like going through that again.

You can leave CAMPAIGN worlds and join again in 15mins, else you are out of luck.
Why would this be used for other worlds? Sure, some require a bit of effort but campaigns are more important for this feature.

There are a lot of reasons. One, for RPG worlds, saving your state and all that you have is a really useful thing rather than making long list of registered users and their weapons and coins.

If you are wanting this for the endurance campaign, then doesn't that kind of ruin the point of it? Endurance is supposed to be done in one sitting. Allowing you to save and continue from where you left off would ruin the purpose of the campaign.
