Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I thought it would be cool to show you music connoisseurs some examples of 7/8 and 5/8 meter tracks used!
7/8:
5/8:
So what is 7/8 and 5/8?
These are time signatures which indicate how many beats there are in a measure. In 7/8, there are 7 eighth notes in a measure. In 5/8, there are 5 eighth notes in a measure.
You have to count 1-7 for the first track, and at the same tempo. You have to repeat 1-7 over and over again and you'll notice that the way you count fits with the track perfectly. Same goes for 5/8.
I hate these time signatures unless they resolve at some point, which it doesn't seem like these examples do.
It is however, a mighty feat to sing or play, so props to the musicians (or digital sound editors) who did these.

When you're composing music, knowing time signatures is very important.
I love 5/8, Björk also has a song in it which I think is a great example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAAgXBU_OhY
EDIT: actually I think this is 7/4 not 7/8
7/8.
Dammit i can't tap the beat from the 5/8 one from mother 3
I should work on my asymetrical time signature
Trolls be in da place, mon !

That one is really hard to catch the beat, but once you get it it'll be much easier.
@Daneeko
Time signatures are important!!! For example- Look at the third movement of this piece I'm playing, (Prokofiev Quintet for Oboe, Clarinet, Viola, Violin, and Bass). There are two published versions. One is all in 5/4.
The other is a "simplified" version, which alternates between a bunch of time signatures which makes it easier to read and keep track of beats throughout the movement.
Unfortunately, switching so often disrupts the phrase. In the first version, the phrase is longer and more arching as opposed to being more beat-y in the second.

using odd time signatures like is cool if it isnt like "ugh i gotta be indie.... 13/4 time signature maybe will make me edgy" then it sounds like ****
