[Suggestion] Bump tag
If a post is allowed to be bumped, as in a post hasn't been made for 24 hours, put a little "[bump]" next to it?
this idea probably sucks.

You're asking for it, it does - because most posts do not need to be bumped and it is up to the thread OP to decide if it needs to or not.

Bumping/gravedigging is allowed if you have something to add to the topic. If you don't, you shouldn't post and shouldn't bump. If you do, bumping/gravedigging is perfectly acceptable.

By the way, while we're on the topic, what's the point in bump rules and gravedig rules? Whether it has been 2 hours or 2 years, a post which adds nothing to the topic should get reported anyway, so these rules seem kinda pointless.

a post which is just a casual reaction to something posted over a year ago would have been allowed if it was made at the right time

Yeah, that's why there's no gravedigging/bumping warning type. If it's against the rules, it'll always fall under Off-Topic or Spam. If it doesn't, it should be fine.
