Instead of allowing PMs, I've made it so that users can view their warnings while banned. Just click the little "Details" link next to the warning on your ban page and it'll show you the post you were warned for as well as the PM that was sent. You can't respond, though. If you have an issue with a warning, send an email to the address I put up on the ban page.
