ALT+0157 chat glitch

this appears when entering nothing but the ALT+0157 character into the chat:

for those not in the know, ALT+0157 is a completely blank character that takes up no space whatsoever

the reason i posted this was because the bubble itself didn't fit the triangle at the bottom

It's a non-breaking space, to be specific.

And alt+numbers to input unicode characters is a Windows thing to the best of my knowlege. Not sure about Mac OS, but us Linux users have to use X compose.

Turns out it's compose+space+space by default

Also, apparently that character is unicode character 00AD, which should be 173 in decimal. Huh.

If you type something like this in the chat:
eee﴾﴿﴾﴿ee﴾﴿﴾﴿﴾﴿ee﴾﴿e﴾﴿ee﴾﴿﴾﴿eee
you get
eeeeeeeeeeeee
it doesn't matter which unicode character, it only needs to be any that is ignored by ee's normal font.
(not ignored but... missing a word here)

Yes, because trying to play a broken game feature that offers rewards is the same as typing a character no one can see in chat

Yes, because trying to play a broken game feature that offers rewards is the same as typing a character no one can see in chat

any way you look at it, it's still a bug. and just because it's a tiny one doesn't mean it doesn't deserve fixing, because it's still publicly observable if you're curious enough to wonder what it does, or if you trigger it in a section of a world with a lot of players.

alt+057 + /commandname allows you to say
"/kick name" but obviously it won't kick anybody.

you need to have a numpad though
and it needs to be on "num lock"

The problem is that the chatbubble is too tiny. The little triangle thing at the bottom goes past the edge of the bubble. The displaying of the character itself is totally fine and not-buggy, the bubble just needs to have a minimum size enforced.
