Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

As much as I would like this to be a thing,  the fully black blocks could lose their most important role, to delete the border if you're not satisfied with the basic/brick border.

i don't see the point for this, the black blocks are used alot not just for the border, also, all worlds are -2 from their area, because the border prevents people for placing the block they want

Take the EE border
Put any SOLID block on it. Solid being ones you can stand on and NOT go through.

What's so confusing about that?

Re: allow any fully solid block to be placed on the border

What actually is the point in having a border? Why don't we just let non-solid blocks to be placed there too, and leave the "true border" as fully black (can't edit this part at all)?

I feel like the game may need a border else we will fall into the bottomless void

Well no, because we left the "true border" as fully black (can't edit this part at all).

Actually, many mods already removed the border from their world (they can remove it) and if someone touch that false black block, it will not fall in the ''void''

Well, I don't know when they chose to fix the glitch, if it ever was.
I made a short duplicate of "blitwalker" or whatever. If I erased the bottom border, I'd never stop falling.

So, your fears aren't totally unjust.
