EE gone on Kongregate?

I tried to get to the game on kongregate, but I get redirected to the main site. The forums are there, and other people have this problem. What happened?

right now, the game is kong plus only. is it going to be like that forever? And if it is, is there any way to transfer the stuff from my kong account to the main website?

Just kidding, but this is the first game that I've seen go over to a new owner on kong, so I don't think they do this often. Especially when they have to move years & years of data over to the new place.

I imagine it's more of making sure that various IDs line up
If anyone is so inclined, we could set up an "EE alt client" not entirely unlike the one already existing.
but it wouldn't be so much alt as it would be working.

As per IDs, I'd think that the forums would be just assigning the Game ID the forum ID, not every individual post.
I could see a large bank of comments (however worthless) taking a while to transfer over.

Beyond that, what other things might be tied directly to game ID?

600postedit: Perhaps the authentication needs a special copy over. Doubtful, but dunno.

if they did discontinue, I'd just bank on the idea that they wouldn't reset authentication with playerio. Then I'd be in business still.

According to cjmaeder and Thanel, plan is they're moving Everybody Edits from QRious' account to an official EE account. That way they can finally start working on the game kong-side.

Oh. So is this related to the infinite EE gem incident? I mean, right now there's not a whole lot of stuff they particularly need "kong-side"... seeing as how the gameplan is to stuff every authentication (etc) into one .swf file...

Not related to that in any way. The transfer should've happened long ago but communication wasn't always smooth.

I've never really understood the difference between EE on kongregate and the main site. Are the accounts specifically tied to Kongregate accounts or something? If so why is that the case.

Providing a way for kong users to be able to play without registering in ee, since thay already have the kong account. The drawback is such accounts can't be accessed from other sites.
