Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

There was like a random downtime for a minute...
What happened?

I meant for the forums.

The server experiencing too much load. Cause isn't really known at this point; may be someone else on server taking load, server just having problems, or some unknown reason.
Offline
Someone could be sheepishly working on the coding behind it
Or legitimately swapping servers... or your internet just derped.
I just experienced it too.

This. Server load randomly spikes and I have no idea why.
I just checked out lots of different logs again just to make sure and I can't find anything to suggest that it's something we can control or influence from inside the VPS. I'll contact hostus about it.

No I was saying that was24 also experienced it, not just my internet derping.

I think he was talking about this exchange where you appear to have implied that he was not talking about the forums.

Someone said that EE was down in between that which was why I said I meant for the forums.

Nice. I love it when people delete things. Anyway, as I mentioned in the announcement today this may or may not be fixed tonight at 3AM.

They only last for a few minutes at a time, usually. But it is kinda surprising that you've managed to miss every single one of them.

School in MID August?
*surprised*

My sisters started school back up again just a few days ago. Plus people have jobs and lives and stuff, I guess it's not totally surprising that there would be some people who managed to miss all the downtime.

Is this why I was logged out when I came on today?
Or was that something completely different

Lingering DNS stuff. If your ISP has cached the forums.EE.com -> eeforumify.com redirection, then when you type in forums.everybodyedits.com and get redirected to forums.EE.com, it'll send you to eeforumify.com even though forums.ee.com has stopped redirecting there
At least that's the theory I have atm. It'll probably resolve itself with time.

Unless the redirect was thought up with a 301 MOVED PERMANENTLY forever
but I'll look through about:cache
