Bombot and EX Crew Shift. I highly dislike the ones that include bashing buttons to kill someone, buggy.

same here. i also hate the ones that use really gimmicky names in their world titles such as "Click Play ---->"

When Floddy's digbot (ICanDigIt I think it was called) first came out, I bought chat just so I could play it and that summer was probably the happiest I've felt playing EE. That's probably more because of chat than the bot, but I still enjoyed the bot as well. Eventually I got bored of it though. Tapping an arrow all the time got boring when one block took ages to mine.

You and I have very similar tastes. Only difference is that I wasn't bored of Floddy's at the time it went away. D:

I also LOVED ExEv. I really hope Bass and Express will start it up again!

I never actually played much of Explosions Everywhere unfortunately. It seemed fun from the small amount that I played though.

FLD's ICanDigIt. Sometimes I woke up earlier just to play it more, and as embarassing at it may be, it was 100% worth it.

FloddyFosh: I can Dig it. This was the most fun I've had in EE. I would get on and play 24/7 just to play that level. I got so many minerals, got to the bottom, and had such op picks. It was very fun

Building levels and playing them. Bots are just completely different games ported into this one. In my opinion, people only play bot games because they're bored of the actual game but can't get themselves to log off.

Would you say the same thing about any video game mod ever existed? People make bots because they love Everybody Edits and want to see how they can alter it to be a new yet familiar game to other players, the same reason they would make mods for any other video game. Bots are user created enhancements to an established game made for the purpose of being fun to make and play. Everybody Edits is a great platform for such things because it's a very simple and open game and bots just open up the possibilities even further.

The problem with this analogy is that bots and mods are completely different things. EE does have mods in the form of remakes and modified clients, which stay true to the original game. On the other hand, a lot of bots have nothing to do with EE, and would be better off as stand-alone games.

EE definitely is a good creative platform, but for making levels, not programs. It shouldn't be a testing ground for programmers to improve their skills.
