Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Do you think more in pictures or words?
Let's quantify with a scale, because I'm curious.
0 is 100% pictures. No words floating through your head.
10 is 100% words. Can't see mental images to save your life.
or just say "meh pictures" -- that works, too.
Personally, I'm probably a 9. All I get are flashes of pictures. Then they disappear. (needless to say, I'm not the creative type)

I'm not either. Which is why I figured I'd ask peers.
If I asked a neurologist, I might actually get answers.
I imagine you're one who thinks in pictures, theN?

This explains why I understand english but I can't translate it to portuguese.
This is a false statement.

I'm not sure if this is a direct application for you, but that's just me.
Zero? You don't connect any words in your head? O.o

I think I'm more for sounds, whenever I read I have a feeling someone is whispering for me.

Usually my initial thoughts are all in a flash but then for some reason I feel the need to say it out loud in conversation form in my head anyway. Sometimes I feel like having it echo back to me slows me down and I get a little irritated that I keep "repeating" myself but even that ends up getting repeated so I give up and let the words keep echoing my thoughts.

Who sees text? Is it like Star Wars? Or like the speedreading programs, with the words quickly changing to the next one?
I hear my thoughts and can remember images.

oh my god yes
idk how long you've been noticing that, but I realized that probably a month ago.
how do we get over this hurdle?!??!?!
Imagine how flippin' fast we could be if we didn't have to think... and then process mentally? I'm not even sure if slowing down helps or not -- i'm always slowing down!?
and here I thought I was crazy.

I don't see text. I tried just now to see... idk. Some text. Same thing as with images. Poof.

I don't really get "pictures" its more of me talking to myself in my head.

Talk to myself in my head. I can picture images to aid the "conversation". I guess I'm probably a 3 or 4.

probably like a 4ish. I think in both words and images, but maybe leaning a little bit towards images.

So I've been thinking about this now, and the best way to describe my thoughts are as follows:
They are like a movie playing in my head with picture, sound, and captions. However all three don't always work. Sometimes the sound cuts out, sometimes the picture, and sometimes the captions, sometimes two at once, but rarely all three.
The captions tend to be just important words or show up more when I am trying or thinking about reading. The picture is almost always fuzzy and unclear, but the sounds typically are pervasive.
I'm not sure if that is what you wanted, but that's the best way for me to describe it!
Great question though.

This is really intense. I guess I never really thought about it, but I just figured we all "thought" with words.
How do you folks think about abstract thoughts, ye who have picture thinking?

I have many abstract thoughts in my head...
Everything I think about in life is depicted through scenes, images, etc. When I'm nervous in life, I think of past experiences in life through imagery. When I'm feeling down, I think of images that were sad in life, and if I try to reassure myself I think about happier images.
All of my actions come from thought on imagery and depiction. People always tell me "I'm always in my own little world." I certainly am the type to daydream almost every minute of the day.
Words rarely appear in my head. A downfall to this is that it's a little more difficult than other people to structure sentences for me. I often don't know what I start talking about. When I was younger, I was a very random conversationalist, bringing up random topic during conversations. This annoyed and disturbed people at school, and now that I think of it, I really do cringe thinking about myself back then...
Like I said earlier, definitely a 0.
Most of the time, I think via talking to myself (is that what you mean by words?). However, if I feel the need to be innovative, I can conjure up several flashes of many seemingly random images in a short time.

Wait when I said 3 or 4, I actually meant 6 or 7. I got the pictures/words scale mixed up. But now when I think about it, I'm probably right in the middle with a 5. It really depends on the situation. If I need to make decisions, or think rationally, it's always words. If I need to come up with ideas, it's more likely to be pictures. I feel like my rational thoughts use words, and my creative thoughts use pictures.
