Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

It would be very helpful for bot levels if programs could determine when keys are pressed. This, combined with the /pm feature, would clean up chat in "BALs" extensively. Many such levels use short commands for initiating actions. These add up, especially if the bot is to respond with information. Further, many bots can improve the user experience with this improvement.
What say you? Would it be reasonable to ship off the key presses to better the gaming experience? Should we limit it to the more used keys like 'zxcb'? Or '1234'? Or not at all?

Those who can't do, teach.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
It is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it... anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.
I think fish is nice, but then I think that rain is wet, so who am I to judge?
For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after a second or so, nothing continued to happen.

I meant to add something about that
Yes, that would work. Although, that's a bit of a stretch to send.
Not to mention, I can't use those shortcuts. Keyboard/computer doesn't pass them through.

I'm able to send them just fine. There is an alternative option, make a separate program for the BAL that players can use and somehow relay its messages back to the master bot.

You're right. However, this is Game Suggestions. Further, a great deal of folks don't download EE. I can't see them downloading a program for one level (that requires the other program... etc). You'd also have to register hotkeys somehow. Otherwise you'd have to switch between windows, which isn't smooth at all.
Plus, there's the privacy argument again. Who's to know you aren't keylogging? If you skip a Shift or Ctrl prefix, does the bot know when to stop?
I like the idea, but I don't think it applies to this in particular.

You can send them, either open chat and click them or press one of the following:
"Alt Gr" + *
"Ctrl" + "Alt" + *
Note: * repressents a wildcard character for the numbers which are not on the numpad
Also Lrussel the point you mentioned was already in the OP, by me
