That is "exactly" why i left EE. EE was a sandbox, that was the real EE. Now it's campaign, RPG,... How i miss the real EE.

I think it makes sense in terms of logical progression.

I mean, it used to be that there were no saved worlds and literally everybody could edit, then you were able to save and you could set a code, then they had contests for building, then levels were featured levels, it only makes sense that this is the next step. Minecraft followed a similar trend in its development as well. Games need to evolve in order to continue to sustain the playerbase. Simply releasing different colored blocks will only keep players playing for so long.

EE was never a role-playing game, and never will be. If it was an RPG, then your smiley would have a formal name of a hero, off to stop the evil dragon Malkazar from destroying the EE WORLD!!

You may be referring to all the player-made RPG worlds, which have been around since 2011.

I saw an option to "favorite" worlds in the video (5:55). It seems like we might be able to have a list of favorite worlds we can play again and again. That's a neat feature.

Aren't you afraid that, in the future, a lot of your attention/energy will need to go towards preventing players from cheating?
I look forward to trying out campaigns. Too bad I've probably already played and finished lots of those levels in the past.

The only issue I see here is that the campaigns will replace players playing levels from the lobby to playing levels in the campaigns, and the fix is we'll need a lot more players. Though, I don't think players will want to replay the campaign worlds so eventually they'll stick back to lobby worlds. In addition, the campaign worlds are certainly player-made worlds built with no instructions on how the world should be built. All in all, the campaigns will be bringing in refreshing content that's sure to get players more involved.

We've thought about the cheating and we'll have something for that.
Yeah you've finished most levels already probably, but we're hoping this also motivates people make new awesome levels to play

Does this mean I have to spend hours trying to beat difficult levels like Forgotten Veil again for these rewards? I know you said no cheating but if people genuinely prove to you that they've beaten the level somehow will you give them the rewards?

I think, perhaps, that the secret rewards may be badges... Well worth it if that is the case.

People seem to be confused here.  This is going to be a beta only feature for a period of time.  Until we get all the bugs out, and get it working the way we want it to.  Then we will release it the public.

It's not going to be a beta only feature indefinitely.

We're aiming for first week of August, but no promises. I'd rather have it be good and a bit later than rushed.

Nou, y u make me do Odyssey again. Now I have to find time in my schedule for 6 hours straight of EE.
Also, there isn't a notification on EE for this. The thing that pops up the first time after an update. (idk if intentional) (wasn't there when I posted)

Hyped for this update. We've been hearing about it for awhile so there must be a lot of work being done.
Is there going to be some kind of reward for having a level chosen for a campaign, other than the plays and woots?
