All the pixel art you've been waiting for is here

I just started this post, and with this post comes the website I just made. I'm currently planning on working on this until I have something better to do. This is my side project, and the EE Painter file took me 5 hours. Please do give feedback (positive preferable )

Yea... No. This is the kind of crap that encourages noobs to make bad levels. Instead of drawing overused perler bead art, we should be pushing users to create new and unique art styles.

No, you misunderstand. What I mean is, instead of encouraging people to copy or bot pixel art, I think it would be better if we (us players) encouraged players to try and make original art/minis.

Copying is ok sometimes if you're a newbie, but in the long run it's hurtful toward developing good art skills. When you just copy art you are not really learning anything about how to draw, you are just learning how to draw one particular thing.

False, you may learn how to use a specific method to improve your art.

Except that's not really learning. It's like, why go to school if you can learn all you need to know from simply reading books? Learning how to draw from life not only betters your ability to draw, but also trains your eye to learn basic shapes and anatomy. When you simply copy a picture you are only learning to copy a picture.

Learning by practicing unique styles, as well as learning to draw from life, enriches your ability to become a better artist.

EDIT: It's like people in Middle school who think they're cool because they can draw Mickey Mouse or Homer Simpson. It's cool that you can draw them, but all your learning is how to draw those two specific characters in someone else's style.

The main reason why I did this, is because you spent hours on a level, saved it, cleared it, and used it for "free art". all the sudden the world is full of art, and a troll comes. You kick him (or if u use a bot, ban him) (or her) and then you clear. All the art is gone. Players are discouraged. The world has ended, until somebody brings life, Art back, all the players rebuild and the world is back. And then, the cycle starts again... It's sad, but to pop in life, you must draw art. This, is why I created this forum post.

@Ninja: That doesn't make sense though when you can simple load the /loadlevel command. Even if the owner didn't save, and the world was indeed cleared, I don't see how filling it up with more generic art is going to make it better.

Well, lets say you saved the level for minis, and you clear it and use it for art. You don't want to destroy your minis just to save, do you? (like, the level has 83120983 woots b/c of the minis)

I think if you have a small (often copied) pixel art piece it's fun to just sort of stamp them on other worlds.
Not so much if you're going to make a proper art world though.

Not just one picture, you'll learn how to shade something and you can use it in another picture.
Example: Copying a clock may give you a knowledge of how to make a clock, now you can easily make the clock in a room art.

Of course you learn things by copying some pixel arts, like building speed, but you learn much more of how to draw by making your own art with your own style of drawing by making your own worlds with creative art.
Pixel art is a interesting style of art, but on games like EE and minecraft players use to copy them, it's like you open google, search for what you want with ''pixel art'' before and copy this, it's much more easy you do it than you create something that come into your mind and is unique

Well, you're right, but I'm not saying it's a massive problem. I'm just criticising it because whether it's a big problem or not, encouraging copied art is not something that should be done and I'm just trying to make that clear.
