Just be clear, I don't know when "soon" is. The upcoming update has strong priority, so once it's done we'll let you know.

The reason why it's taking a while is because it's risky business; we don't want you to lose any items or worlds while transferring, so it needs to be fool-proof.

This sounds great for users migrating from fb to ee, however how are the database changes going to be represented? If there is more than one user id per user, or user ids are being replaced, things might get a bit messy.

It's transferring data from 1 account to another. So you make an alt, everything is transferred to that alt and the name is changed. So your user ID would change, remaining a single one.

I'd like to change my name when I go from Kong --> EE but then people might wonder who I am and all that confusion. I would suggest your old name displayed on your profile as well or something.

So won't the database have a problem if two players have same username? If you will remove that for a time period, why cant even normal players, i.e, ee players create another account with their name, right?

Good luck finding the 0.5 second where it switches names on a specific account on a random day on a random time of day (plus another filter you'll soon encounter)
