Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Hello. I was wondering if someone could craft up a bot that IP bans people so that they can't keep making bots to troll your world over and over. It's kinda sad how people do it.

Probably shouldn't say this, but I lol'd at this request.
Members of the EE Staff are the only ones able to manage bans. If you don't want people to troll your world, don't give them edit.
Though it is rude to troll someone's world, it's not against the rules. When you have all power to prevent it from happening, it's on you.

Don't.
If you would like me to make a bot for you, go here.

There are other ways people can do that without edit, because as of right now the most common example are bots joining worlds and spamming messages (either in chat or pm) causing annoyance to everybody.

Maybe you could add something server side to check if 2 username have same ip:
(send)
connection.Send("checkIPequality", "username1", ""username2");
(recive)
checkIPequality:
[0] username1 (string)
[1] username2 (string)
[2] equals (bool)
Everybody edits, but some edit more than others

Yea , you could just permaban bots sending "ninjabot connected" "[1448bot] connected!" or something with the bot , since those trolls dont bother to write their own , you can much easier identify them with their "welcome message"

HEY! What's wrong with 1448Bot!? Nobody spammed using 1448 bot, as far as I know.
EDIT: Also, my bot says, "Hello all! Bot connected successfully!" by default. Also, if they do wanna troll, I have an option to disable the welcome message since version 2.0

I've seen enuff ppl troll with your bot in bombot ... sooo mostly with the welcome message itself though

That's not my fault. What do you think I can do about it?
It's your fault. Because you haven't locked it to world owner only.

But all of them won't download the new version even if I fix it in the new one. But I do have a plan.

The bots I was dealing with had no welcome message, just a long stupid name that was annoying to ban over and over.

Don't kick them and mute it.

I feel... offended... whats wrong with it? Well, it has had a bad past history, but thats only because the users of the bot are bad, not because I am, but because the user was... I didn't create it to troll, look at the atomic bomb!

Requesting a thread lock, this conversation has gone to s**t, and it's getting nowhere. The request for someone to make a bot, is worthless because Sam could have just not given them edit.

if someone trolls you can prevent it by don't trust him when giving edit, if it's a spammer you can easly kick or mute if it's not your world
Off-topic: I assume that i trolled with EEartist bot more than 5 worlds with this image:

You are responsible for the trolling & grieifing done by your bot , it is your fault that it can be missused in that way.

So? I still didn't create it to troll, that's not the reason it was created. Any bot that's public could be misused in almost every way.
