Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

(COMPLETE ALREADY SORRY)
I felt a little inspired from all these gem hunts happening that I decided to make my own. The gem code you are looking for, when redeemed, will put 50 gems into your account. That's enough to buy a tenth of a big spender!
So what are you waiting for? Here is the first clue:
Keep in mind the format of the gem codes are XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Also, as I am only human and I can make mistakes, if you believe that I made an error please PM me asking about it. If I don't reply, it wasn't an error.
Good luck everybody!

I think I get that clue, but I dunno.

Well, that was fast. Grats to the winner(s)
Here's the full log from #fail, detailing the progress from grumpybumpers to the gem code:

(warning: profanity)
Plans for a more in depth one are already in the making. Sorry for posting this so late, most of you barely got a chance. Wasn't all too fair and I feel bad. Next one will be better planned, I (we) promise

It started with a grumpybumpers sig with 7 images of different solid colors.
From those colors you could gather 7 hex codes, which when translated to ascii, produce a 21 character string.
The message is scrambled though, which you could unscrable manually (which is what happened), or you could go to the imgur page for each image and find that each image has a unique title, alluding to a password protected tumblr.
The tumblr is essentially useless at this point though, but from the order of the images gathered from the titles, you can find that the hex-to-ascii translation gives you this pastebin url.
By taking the characters given in line 1 and using them for another pastebin url, you can discover a string of pastebin urls all uploaded by different users with names saying "GIVE_ME_A_X" or another character.
By putting together all of the uploader's names, you get "PWQM2OQGP-B0I".
However, that's not a functional EE world ID, so you have to use the upper/lowercase A on each paste to find the correct capitalization to get "PWQM2oqGp-b0I".
The world, by a user named 119I, contains the last half of an imgur url with faded text that gives the password to the tumblr, which is JHDR.
In the tumblr are two images of white noise, which when layered on top of each other show the characters 2KNF.
By taking the 4 characters from the grumpybumpers url, the 4 characters from the EE username, the 4 characters from the tumblr URL, and the 4 characters from the white noise images, you can put together the final gem code.
