It is essentially not possible, unless for a very very good reason.

If you want a new username, create a new account now before it is too late, and you have already bought too much stuff on the one that you don't like.

Of course, we can expect some form of a preference from our wonderful admin/mod staff for the select few privileged enough to be favored.
Aka, friends of the mods get perks.
It's really not that hard to change a username. But, those perks wouldn't be as perky if everyone could do it, eh?

Many people are friend for mods/admins and even if they need a username change they will don't get it, username changes is only for extreme cases and if the player uses a innapropriate name, but for it the player probrably will get a ban not a username change

To my knowledge, only two people have had their usernames changed since we've had the game.

The reason we steer away from username changes, is confusion.  The two people that had their names changed, were well known by the name they had their account changed to.  Also, once we change a few peoples' names, we get nagged to do it for even more people.  We can't have everyone getting their name changed every few weeks/months.  It makes it almost impossible to keep track of who is who.
