The way I see it, people should quit getting all mopey about not winning the contest and should instead focus on all the good that came from joining the contest in the first place. Personally, I never get all whiny whenever I'm facing off against a competitor and I lose, I learn from my mistakes and improve until next time. This way of thinking is literally my whole foundation for how I go about making graphics/music/video and it's been very fruitful in terms of results.

So I ask you who did not get in to the top 10, don't ever give up because of a single contest of an online multiplayer game. Learn from your experiences and improve! Beat those who beat you!

No offense, but this contest is the first of it's kind.   Many people are obsessed with EE, as am I, and want to collect every single brick and smiley.   Those who didn't win the contest are at the end of their road.   We will never get the bird or bunny smiley ever, so we'll always be short of two smileys forever.   And BTW, why isn't the Ultimate Fan Smiley in the energy shop? You mods said it was permanent and always available, so could you please put it back?

I agree with most of you people. Many people, myself included, like to collect things. EE smileys and decorations are the easiest thing to collect. As of this contest, I no longer am on a streak of collecting EVERYTHING that you can possibly get in EE, other than the mod smiley. It's obviously angered me and others a little. In the future, there should be no exclusive things to win. Perhaps they could get a special symbol by their world in the shop for winning, or a symbol by their name to show they've won, but not exclusive content.

I agree - I couldn't be more happy with my second place, but now there will always be a smiley that I won't have.

^ I'm fine with the smiley being offered in the shop as long as it's for gems only and not energy. Being able to use energy means the smiley is essentially free and that devalues it as a reward. Only being able to use gems at least allows the smiley to retain some of its exclusivity while allowing the collectors another way to acquire it.

Well, we thought about making something like that, with the crucifixion of Jesus, but we came to the conclusion that a lot of people would get offended.
Instead we thought, "Easter.... Easter Island.... Statues... Eggs..." And shablam, you get Easter Island x'D

You're seeing it wrong. You're not 2 smilies behind, there is a handful of people that have two extra. Just like the mods have one extra. If you are that obsessed, hire someone to make a level for you so you win the contest!

If I understand correctly, the ultimate fan smiley is temporarily out of the shop because Chris is moving and he is unable to receive mail at that address at the moment. But hey, if you are that obsessed, why don't you have it already, it's been in the shop for ages.

Instead of being selfish and thinking only about yourselves, how about you try to be happy for the ones who won. You're spoiling everyone's victory and shedding a bad light on the competition. If you had won, you wouldn't have complained there are exclusive smilies that other people can't get because YOU got it. And as an answer to all the people who are mad because of the fact that there is now no way to get all the smileys in EE if you did not win the contest; the bunny smiley and the secret bird smiley was surely a great factor as to why so many people participated in the contest. Since I was, however, one of the winners of the easter competition you might think that my voice in this discussion is not of great importance, but the exclusive smileys did spur me more than the 1000/500 max energy price to participate and do my best. If these smileys would come available in the energy shop, by paying with energy or gems, they would lose their role to the winners of the easter competition, since the smileys acts as a kind of trophy.

Well, Looks like we got ourselves in to a problem.

A few people here have been complaining that they will never get neither the bunny or bird smiley. As the bird smiley will never be introduced to the energy shop. The bunny smiley is still pending. I myself have been too lazy to finish mine, So i gave up.

HOWEVER, As i said, The bird/bunny smiley may not be released to the energy shop. If they were, Then the winners of this contest would basically be getting nothing but the 1000+/500+ Energy.
So....
This is the problem.

1: If you release both smileys to the energy shop, contest winners would get mad.
2: If the smileys DON'T Get released to the energy shop, Players would get mad.

Soooo..... What now?
My suggestion is to just don't give smileys only to be available to contest winners. The energy is fine on it's own.

Maybe make a smiley or brick to all the users that participated in the contest?

But see, I'm a collecting type user.
Im not just gonna let the bunny and the bird smiley slip off my mind. I like to have them all.

I completely agree with nou.

Also, where's the fun in collecting things if there aren't any rare or exclusive things to collect, and when you just have the same smilies every single other person has? Maybe try again extra hard next time when there will be more exclusive smilies to get. If you win, you'll have some really rare ones, which other collectors won't have. Would you like it if you won something in the next contest everyone else can get too?

I've said it once before, but in a different thread, I believe, and it didn't get much of a response. Our world is not a fairy-tale land, nobody cares about the "journey." All that matters is what you get after it.

Now I would bet that nearly every last EE player is a collector, who would do absolutely anything to get every smiley. So this contest has really disappointed them. That being said, we cannot take the prizes away from those who already won them, so   just hope the mods will not be giving a smiley to the winners of future contests. And to appease everyone else, I suggest another smiley/block/whatever be made for all who entered their levels.

And please, don't get greedy and insist that there be smilies in future contests, because the energy itself is far more than enough.

C'mon tako cheer up! It's a learning process. I bet that you have shown off before. Everyone does it at some point. For me their sigs spark determination for the next contest. Try to look at it as rivalry instead of failure. The contest can only have so many winners and one or more teams that worked hard are going to lose.

Remember the good times you had with your team when building your level. IT's not all about winning, its about working with your team to make something great. EE contests just do that, they bring people together.

Summary: If you didn't enjoy the contest then you truly lost.

EDIT: The reason I posted this here is cause its getting more attention.

I just want to say this: our world is a fairy-tale land. Nobody really cares about the journey, so stop saying things like "if you didn't enjoy the process, you truly lost." 1. Shift you may not have noticed but your being self contradicting and quoting me wrong.
2. Yesterday my track team lock the "Bay League Finals" although we ended up losing, we had a hell of a good time getting there. I'd suggest that you actually come to enjoy the "journey" that way you will have a happier life.
3. The mods decide werther or not there will be exclusive prizes. They are NOT being greedy. It is the players that insist that they must have EVERYTHING that are the greedy ones.   You know why in the US we can't get things done? Because we have corrupt politicians who are greedy enough and are so self-centered that they don't care about whats really important.

1. I wasn't contradicting myself anywhere, those were two completely different points, that could be backed by the same argument.
2. You're going to have a hell of a time adjusting to the real world, sorry.
3. I wasn't saying the mods were greedy, I was saying everybody else was! Context clues are important.
4. I congratulated the winners multiple times when this topic first came out, and on other topics as well. Now I would like, as many others would as well, to receive something for my time, rather than have wasted two weeks of my life.
5. Again, I wasn't quoting you. I read your post before, and remembered some of your wording, so I posted it. But the idea that I quoted was mentioned in many other people's posts, so please try to realize that I don't revolve my life around you.

Honestly I think people are just being sore losers about the smiley. If these were legitimate concerns they would have been brought up as soon as the contest was announced; people were fine with the smilies being exclusive while they had a chance to get them, but now that they lost they are upset? No,if this were truly against your own belief system you would have complained about it the second it came out, like my boyfriend did to me. Now people are just complaining because they are at a disadvantage. (And I'm not just saying this because Im a "braggy winner", you can look at my posts and see the thread I made in GD   to see that even though I won I disagree with how this contest was set up)

I'm not saying that it is wrong to be thinking of yourselves, some of you probably simply don't have the brain development to see the world from others points of view very well (clarifying: because of their ages), but I'm honestly going to stop responding to the complaints about the exclusive smiley unless you can link me to a complaint that happened before the results were announced.

If it truly bothered you, you would have complained about it before the contest was over.
