Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Yooka Laylee

I'm guessing there are close to none, but for any Banjo Kazooie fan, or Rareware fan, you should know about the new game coming out from PlayTonic, Yooka Laylee

Yooka Laylee is going to be a spiritual successor to the Banjo Kazooie franchise, a franchise completely ruined when microsoft had the bright idea to buy rare ware and make a Banjo Kazooie game, not about platforming, but about lego cars!

I guess the guys at PlayTonic didn't want such an amazing game franchise to die that suddenly, so they started a Yooka-Laylee kickstarter

The results were INSANE

Their goal was 175,000 pounds, which they achieved within an HOUR of release

They were the fastest kickstarter EVER to reach a million pounds

They concluded with an insane 2,090,104 pounds (3.3 million US)

A bit about the game:

Banjo Kazooie was known as Project Dream during development. Yooka Laylee is, at the moment, known as Project Ukulele (go figure). The Project was launched May 1st, 2015. As for the gameplay itself, it features a male chameleon named Yooka, and a female bat named Laylee. Many of the moves from Banjo Kazooie/Tooie are going to be carried over, made possible due to the arrangement of the characters. Laylee sits on Yooka's head, which looks pretty similar to Kazooie behind Banjo, so the double jump and such were carried over, along with some new moves, such as Yooka rolling around like a ball.

Also, the composers are none other than Grant Kirkhope, the composer from Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, and David Wise, the composer from Donkey Kong 64

The game is expected to release around October 2016, on Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U
