Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

1997 and 2015 El Niños

After some considerable discussion and analyses with my weather buddies and meteorologist friends over the past 4-5 months, we, and all the climatologists around the globe, agree to some extent that a strong El Niño is apparent.

For the record, the super 1997-98 El Niño sent devastating floods across California, bone-dry droughts to Australia and India, and other significant effects such as a warmer globe.

We may need the rain for California, but wishes can bite back hard. Floods are a pretty nasty thing to have. It will be very good to see a very wet California though.

Now, there isn't a 100% chance of this happening, but a very high chance...

(The El Niños peak in effect by December through March)

Gotta love those droughts tho

It wasn't until I was like 14 when the drought ended in Australia. Long time of being excited when it rained.

My dad was just talking about his. Saying that this winter is supposed to be really wet. Hopefully its a slow and steady downpour rather than a quick, heavy one!

I'm not joking; every El Nino is different. Some last longer than others, while others are warmer than others.
