Summer Sale

First off, I want to apologize for this sale not being very big. It's kind of dull because it's probably only going to effect newer players. But, people were requesting a sale so I slapped one together.

Since we missed Spring, I tried to make this sale a little bigger by putting some classic Spring packs on sale as well!

The sale list includes:
- Tanned Smiley
- Summer Girl Smiley
- Spring 2011 Pack
- Summer 2011 Pack
- Diver Smiley
- Summer 2012 Pack

I might throw a few more things on here in the next day or two!

Why do YOU put things on sale, and not the staff as such / Everybody Edits? You should maybe change that into 'we', if you speak for the staff or the game. Right now it sounds rather selfish.

Because I was the one who put it on sale. Because that is what I do. If the rest of the staff wants changes, they ask, and I make it.

Oh, JaWapa owns the game? Was there a blog post about this?
Isn't putting items in sale a kind of "big" thing? Because of revenue.

You missed my point. You said you put these items on sale - My question was, if NVD still owns the game, wouldn't you need to speak at least to him? Now, are you able to make such huge* decisions alone?
*huge because the company loses/gains $$ because of this - and money is always a huge thing.

Yep, we work rather efficiently to debate ideas and implement updates. I'm certain the rest of the staff can vouch for me on this.

I actually just reflected on this question in the survey. I have no idea who is in charge of what. Toop could have made this post as much as you have and it would have made no less sense than it does as is.

But at the risk of driving this thread off topic, I suggest someone creates a new thread somewhere rather than continue it here.

As for the summer sale, I think I already own all of those things, so oh well. How much % off is it anyways? And for gems only or energy?

No, I'm not the owner. NVD still is.

It was "we" because I was talking about the whole team.

And no, as I said before this is part of what I do. Unless it's going to be a tremendous sale there's no need to pick it up with him.

And no it's not a huge decision. As I said before, this will barely (if at all) dent the revenue. It might bring in a little bit actually. If someone who never/rarely buys gems sees something on sale, it might provoke them to buy a few now. Also, three of the items could be bought with energy which does not bring in money for EE at all.

As for the communication, nope. We make independent decisions without the concerns of others. yes. We talk things through. We each have jobs, and we all know what we're doing. Again, this is part of what I do (meaning the sales). I just haven't done it a long time and decided to throw something together. There was no need to bring it up with the rest of the team because I knew what I was doing. If it was as huge sale then I would have.

One last (offtopic) thing regarding this, why not display the unity? Right now it sounds like JaWapa would just do what he thinks is right? No quality control? Is everyone able to do what he wants? I mean a flat hierarchy is good, but this looks somewhat unorganized right now.

Yes, but not only (as mentioned above). If you have a manager (and from what I heard you guys have one), why not have all these "update" topics made by him? And sayin' I if you speak for a company is only appropriate if you lead it, in my opinion.

Yeah, there isn't a whole lot for spring/summer. That's why this will probably draw the attention of newer players.

Both. The smileys went from 1000 energy to 600 energy, and 20 gems to 10 gems. (60% energy - 50% gems)

The classic packs went from 25 gems to 12. (48%)

Why does it matter if he said "I" instead of "we"? That sounds like a really stupid thing to start an argument over. He was the one who actually put the items on sale, so I see no reason as to why he shouldn't have put "I" in there. I know for a fact that I didn't put them on sale, so I feel that it would be wrong to include me as being someone who did it.

How do you know whether he spoke to NVD or not? Does he need to specifically type out in every topic that he makes, that he had a 10 hour long conversation with NVD before making the topic? Sounds like that would be a bit of a waste of time in my opinion, most people would automatically assume that there was some sort of discussion about it before it happens.

Jesus dude, stop trying to start stuff with Jawapa and just enjoy the sale. (If you don't already have the items of course ^^)

They used to have legit ways to get gems. I remember a while back I once went through a link on EE's "free gems" to buy some flowers for mothers day or something. I got something like 50 free gems just for doing it through the "free gems" link instead of going to "buyflowersonline.com".

Not sure how much the game got for that though, it would be nice if those returned.
