Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Philips Hue

Does anyone own a Philips Hue lighting system? I've been looking them up recently, they look really cool.

The price, however, not so cool.

A starter kit is about $200.

I'd really like to implement it into my home, but I might wait until I become a bit wealthier.

I've seen them before, they do look cool. I'll install them when I become rich and famous, lmao.

Super useful. You can use them as alarms, notification lights, and a lot of other things especially with it being compatible with IFTTT. Besides basic lighting for your home, you get multiple shades of white for different moods/activities. For example a warm white for relaxing and a cool white for focus or energy.

Plus they're great for parties and decoration and adding an ambient glow to your home.

I would say it's fairly useful. Maybe not worth the price, though

you can even use them when programming a game, for example making it dim when getting into a cave or whatever.

much possibilities

Re: Philips Hue

God, the customizable home stuff that has come out in the recent years is just amazing.

A whole-house Hue lighting system would be killer.

I remember a couple of years ago, a furniture kickstarter came out that was essentially completely custom stuff. You'd get a furniture frame/blocks that you could attach together in any combination (cubes, rectangular prisms, triangular prism "wedges", etc.), then put on some sort of material plate that matched the shape of the base block. The material plates had different materials like colored glass, marble, granite, etc. and even came in cushioned varieties for creating cushioned furniture like beds and chairs.

It was also really expensive (around $200 for a simple chair set of blocks and surfaces, I think), but just damn cool to imagine.

(p.s. if anyone remembers the name of this concept and can link me to their website (been there before), I'd really appreciate it)
