Chat Rooms? :)

The title is self explanatory; chat rooms... Here are some details. I don't know if this has been suggested, so I hope it's good!

- When you create a chat room, you can name it whatever you want (example, "Sybil's Small Room" or "Super Duper Chat Bar" or something like that), but there's a 80 character limit.

- If you choose to create a chat room, you could create a password for it (a lock would appear beside it).

- You can only be in one chat room at a time.

- Chat rooms will be highlighted green if you have a friend inside of it. Purple if a guardian is inside, and orange when an admin is inside. Each chat room can hold infinite people.

- Upon leave, your chat rooms will be removed unless there are players inside it; in this case, the second person that joined would be the new chat room leader. If that person left, it'd be the third person, and so on from there.

- If you are the chat room creator, you can kick, ban, and mute people inside of it.

It's a basic idea and it would be easy to add in. Support?

And why woudl anyone use it? th only advantage seems unlimited ppl... but you cant even get normal worlds full atm

Good idea, but only if the chat rooms are global, ie you can talk to people across worlds.

And why would that be? if i have the choice to either edit and talk with my friends why would i chosse to instead restrict myself to one chatroom where i can do nothign but chat?

I think you misunderstand. This is a chatroom. Not a world/level/room/whateveryouwanttocallit where you chat. A chatroom. Like the normal EE chat, but you can choose who talks there.

Unless I'm the one misunderstanding. If it's me, then I'm disappointed in this idea.

Well i don't see how having another chat helps when ee already has a per world chat integrated, if it is another window though the restriction to one chatrooom is rather useless

They are just different tabs of chat. Let's say you're in a crew, and you want a chatroom so you can talk across different worlds without other people interfering. Then you can just create a chatroom and invite all your crew members. It's not even just crews, you can just get a group of friends in a chatroom too. It's very similar to this.

Seriously, don't you know what privacy is? It's not a restriction -_- and you would be able to have multiple tabs at once.

What does beeing in 2 chatrooms simultaniously have to do with privacy? i can have 2 irc chat windows open that doesnt meen those windows communicate with each other.
as far as ive understood the op you would only be able to join one chatroom and once and not be able to join a second one while beeing in the first one.

I'm saying that just because there are less people in the chatroom, doesn't mean it's a restriction. Only wanting to talk to your friends, and not everyone else, does not make it a restriction. It's just privacy, or just a preference.

If you want to talk to your friends and crew in the same chatroom, then just invite them all to one chatroom. You can have anyone you want in a chatroom. If you want to talk with both but separate, then why can't you just have multiple chatrooms?

You don't have to care, it's just my opinion. I think this idea would be better if you could be in more than one chatroom at once. Only one chatroom at once is a useless restriction.
