Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Woots now make you reload page - which is stupid - and can't use the script...

I agree. I can understand making it more secure, but it gets in the way when you are quickly reading a topic and want to woot a post. Perhaps if you wanted the same effect as the script, you could make a script that opens up all the "Woot" links in new tabs?

Is this a forum game?
Ok, I wooted you, now woot me.
Well, now it's harder to woot thousand posts in 1 minute.

Haha N1KF no more using the script.
I've done all my woots manually

Was originally intended to break the script. Didn't mean to force a reload as well. Fixing the reload, not fixing the script.

Okay, I think I got it at least temporarily sorted out. It's not pretty but it'll do. 10 woots/day.

Ten...woots...a day...
This is, like, totally unreasonable. I would go on, but I would rather not be a whiner about it. Please, at the very least, make it twenty. One-hundred would be fine enough for me.

I'm fine with whatever limit can be agreed on. Initially, I went with 10 because that's what EE does. Posts are run into much more often than worlds are, tho, so it'll need to go up at list a little bit.

woots are useless

They are even more now, since you can only given ten (I hope it goes up soon). That is like giving you just a closet and bathroom instead of a whole house.
Woots != bricks
Bricks are useful. You can do things with bricks. You can build a house with them.
Woots are money. You can buy things with money, like support and solidarity or whatever. However, giving your support to everyone regardless of what they actually said makes it worth much less. Line you were saying in another topic, it's like inflation. But it doesn't just affect you. When people see a long string of posts that have been wooted, they stop looking at woots because they've become meaningless through misuse. The woots stop being indicators of quality, they're just nothing. They stop serving the purpose they were many to when you throw them everywhere.

I think you were missing the entire point of my post. While woot inflation might be A Bad Thing, it is also pretty bad to only get ten of them. What if I think more than ten posts deserve them, whether serious, silly, or Bruce-praising? Should I stop giving woots to two-sentence posts if I find them really funny and agree with them, or should I give them to longer, well-constructed posts? I would like to at least have enough to show I like more than just ten posts a day.

You can give your woots however you feel. I've already said (somewhere) that the woot limit is not set in stone. Forcing people to choose only X makes them "worth" more. The person getting wooted knows that the wooter picked their post over all the others that could have been wooted.

I think ten woots a day is fine. Especially if we start tracking woots

You can also reply to the post, and say that it was very thoughtful or funny, like the good ol' days.

It never resets. It's a constant, rolling thing. 10 woots are allowed in a 24 hour period. If you make 10 woots all at 10:00PM, then you won't be able to woot until 10PM the next day. If you make 5 at 3PM and the other 5 at 10PM, then you will have 5 woots available at 3PM the next day, and another 5 will become available at 10PM.
I'll change it, though. Only reason it's like that was because I was just trying to get something up and working before I went to bed.

Maybe we should just solve all the problems by replacing them with rep

I'm sure this won't solve anything, unless it's +rep only.
