The Basic Concept
Each round, there is a new cork board a certain number of inches high. Each player has a thumbtack, which they place into the board a certain number of inches from the bottom. You gain points based on where you placed your tack in relation to the placement of every other tack. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. Some rounds may also feature a twist or modification to the basic rules to keep things interesting (check the previous threads to see examples).

The Gameplay
Each round, I will post a description detailing the basic height of the board and any twists or modifications taking place that round. Each player will PM me the height at which they wish to place their thumbtack.

Scoring
Your basic score is determined by the difference between the height at which you place your tack and the height of the tack directly below you, or if there are none below you, your score is your height.
So, if Player A places a tack at 12 inches, and Player B places a tack at 8 inches with no one below him, Player A scores (12-8) = 4 points, and Player B scores 8 points.
If two players try to place their tacks at the same height, they stab each other and both score 0 points that round.
Significantly, this also means that there are fewer tacks on the board and anyone directly above them that they would have blocked now gets more points.

Only integers are allowed for thumbtack placement.
The game will end when someone reaches 50 points, and I may give bonuses at the end for specific achievements.

a second board is 15 inches tall

a tack in that board determines how much your opponents' scores this round will be lowered by if it goes in without being stabbed

the minimum for score is 0

let's say you place 10 in the second board and it actually goes in
everyone else's first board score goes down by 10
