Fixing links to eeforumify.com -> eeforums.cf

Links in posts that refer to eeforumify.com are all broken (example: http://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewtopic.php?id=12901.) Would it be possible to automatically change these links so that they point to the appropriate page on this website?

Nope. No way to tell which posts on old forums go to which posts on new forums. Not now, at least. If I had been just a little bit smarter when scraping, then this wouldn't even be an issue but oh well. Hindsight is 20-20. :/

What about rerouting the links to have an archive.org prefix? That way, at least some of the older posts can be seen.

It does work like that (but you have to prefix the url not with archive.org but archive.org/<something>/website)

Can confirm: Is possible. I'll see what I can do about this, although we should be focusing on changing the old, broken links to the new ones.

This problem has to do with the way the posts were obtained (notably, against the wishes of the people with the database), it will not be at all difficult for this to be done when these forums are moved to a new url.

Nope. The post IDs aren't the same. To be perfectly honest with you, this whole mess and a few others could have been avoided easily, but I am not a clever man and I didn't save the 3GB worth of HTML files to disk before scraping them. The only way to fix it now would be to get a copy of the old database, at least the forums, topics, and posts tables. But the only person who might help us out there is Atilla, and why in the world would he do something like that? He wouldn't get anything out of it, he's left EE entirely.

I was bored one day and downloaded the eeforumify website, including all attached resources. Do you want it? I don't know how old it is, and I might not be able to find it.
