I disagree renaming "Smilies" to "Smiley" or "Auras" to "Aura", just make a redirect that redirects to the plural form so you don't need to type [[auras|aura]] and just [[aura]].

That's ridiculous, now people have to click on more links just to find the information they need. If anything it should be "Auras" redirecting to "Aura".

They don't have to click on more links. It redirects them AUTOMATICALLY.

Yes it does. How does it "get annoying" if it redirects you automatically? That's like saying a page is annoying.

1) it doesn't redirect automatically
2) if it did there would be a delay and it would use up more resources (forcing the user to download more pages)

It redirects automatically and silently. The wiki checks for redirects before giving the page to users.

Maybe you were opening the redirect page itself? You have to click on the redirect link on a page.

I've seen these types of attacks before. They're adbots that attack websites that are not protected well and/or log-in with ease.
They spam advertisements. Seriously, who the hell would listen to those ads LOL

UGH GEEZ FINE I'LL DO SOMETHING.

EDIT: Okay, I managed to block them from my phone but now I have a computer so THE SPAMBOTS SHALL FEEL MY WRATH right after I find a spam-deleting extension. The Nuke extension looks good.

EDIT2: The first 1000 pages have been deleted, but there are more. ;_;

EDIT3: All gone. Users who haven't signed in with their forum accounts now have their rights very limited to prevent spam.

More admins is never the answer to spambots. The answer to spambots is to prevent them from ever getting in. Adding more admins for spambots is nothing but an excellent way to burn out a lot of people.

What exactly needs to be done that requires an admin? The only time I've stretched my modly hand forth upon the wiki (wow that sounded... idk, like something) has been that stupid spambot and maybe yesterday I was moving Mister X pages around on top of other Mister X pages, and those aren't exactly overwhelming me and they aren't very time-sensitive either.
Well, the spambot was a little time sensitive but that shouldn't ever happen again anyway.
