Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

Just... I don't know, have something that is equivalent to zombie, curse, solitude, respawn, levitation, protection. Particularly the first three.
I'm not sure how you're going to find something else for the "functionality" thing, but okay.

We'll have a small compensation for that //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

I have 10 of every potion... will the compensation be the same for everyone or how much are we talking here?

Also I am hoping the replacement for curse potion is a good one. This potion alone stands in the top 10 updates of EE for me atm. I would be destroyed if it was removed without a good replacement.

How much is the compensation? If it's more than what the potions are worth, I'll stock up on potions.

Hope they'll be a good change for zombie mode. Usually in zombie maps you are either trying to get rid of all the zombies or preserving it. (Unless they go the two idle accounts direction, which works but isn't efficient)

Don't. It's a fixed compensation which comes down to around 750 energy.

It would be better if any potions bought were compensated with the actual replacement, in the same update as potions being removed.

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

I'm not much into potions but I know there were many users using them or having fun with at least some of them, to be honest it's sad to remove a 1 year old feature, I hope the new update seriously has a convenient replacement for this. The worst thing to do is to give someone something and take it back, this is kinda of a ''deal'' breaker and a waste of time for everyone using/buying something and it's taken back from them. I trully trully hope this is not going to be the new way on EE, because this is practically the second time something is taken out from the game, Class and Potions. Oh, actually the third time, counting Beta, except Beta is again available, so make up your minds.

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

I kinda agree Dazz, but I think these are necessary changes to a degree, they just want to being EE to how it once was before all this. and you know what happened last time about the classes, people griped about the new system set in place (200 energy and lower timer) Even if it was a decent outcome, I wonder what people are going to do to get their way on this one...
And about that convenient replacement

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

I've never bought any potions before. I thought it's just energy-wasting. I think potions are Items which most unlike other items In EE, It shouldn't be in the game at all. So I don't have that problom, and I think the next update will be great.

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

Before potions are removed, I want to remember the 'good times' where I'd use curse potions in bosses such as Yo! Scroll Infinite. Good times, good lag.
I'll miss this a lot.

We should vote for the fate of potions instead.

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

Well, whether they return or not doesn't matter to me. I like the new effects also. But the compensation SHOULD be better. Only 750 energy for a 15750 energy loss is way too low (Not even 5%). And in addition, the new effects cost at least 750. So with the compensation (if we are going to get one anyway) we would only be able to buy one new item, since i had all equivalent potions that's a serious loss...

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

people who had 10/10 of a kind should have the same effect for free
example: 10/10 curse potions would grant you the curse block
and 10/10 red aura potions would grant you 2000 energy spent in the red aura
and so on...

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

The EE terms of service doesn't have anything about compensation when an item is removed, so technically anything can happen. However, I think that it should be like insurance (as someone said) in that all of the energy that was used to either (a) buy the potions or (b) used in trying to get the potions should be delivered as a one-time energy addition, and does not permanently count towards your maximum energy when spent.

Re: Spend your potions, don't buy new ones

idea:

take 1% of energy spent on potions you had before the update

Add that amount into the max energies

If you had 10/10 of every potion, that would be 15750 energy worth

using 6th grade math, you would have +157.5 energy. round that up to 158 energy, and there you go

+158 energy into your full energy
