What's the deal with ''open'' worlds?

I noticed that if you select the ''open'' worlds tab there are over 20 worlds, at first I thought this is great, new users testing EE, but a closer look... in each and every world there is a falling smiley with a new, fresh made account that is never chatting nor moving. Is someone making these accounts or idk, what's the point?

I'm pretty sure they are bots. As to their purpose I have no idea. There were loads of open worlds all called "EEAuth****" the other day which asked anyone who entered for a password of some kind. I have no idea what they were about either but they may be linked.

EE Auth is processor's thing that allows you to login with your EE account on other websites. It's used here when you want to merge your forum account with your old eeforumify or ee.forumify account, to prove that you are the owner of the old account (ofc it only works if the old account said they were the owner of that EE account).
