Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I am planning a level that is basically about the player finding clues and trying to figure out the murderer. Every night a random person (either the player or one of the NPCs who you can accuse of murder) dies. For this, I would need a system that selects a random option and then stops that option from happening again. Does anyone know how to make something like that?

You can use timed doors to pick a 'random' option. It will be based on when the player decides to enter the randomiser, but it will be near to impossible for them to time it to get the option they want. For it to stop using that option again, you can simply use switch doors/gates. A switch after an option has been chosen, and a switch gate in front of that option (which the player has already passed at this point), so they cant get that option again.
I'll make an example for you so you see what I mean. I'll let you know when it's done, and show you a pic.

If you wait a bit for random portals then your problem is sorted but I also attempted at a method. Basically - you need an afk player who hits keys in a random order and players go around a maze and can collect coins and you then sort people by coins (you can also sort by both gold and blue coins); sadly, no method available is suitable for players starting in exactly the same position (you can include 50 spawn points around this maze to ensure people are apart.

Well, I said I was gonna make a thing, but I'm too lazy to do it now and I forgot before Hopefully you understood my explanation, or at least are inspired by some of the concepts mentioned, and you know how to make what you want to make now.
