Honestly the mad scientist used to look like a mad scientist... now it just looks like a stoner. -.@ Start from the original template, change the fugly hair to look more all over the place and maybe don't make him have glasses and you're good. :3 Also, the robber was SMECKSY already so there's no need to change him into an asian or change his features whatsoever. I'm pretty sure RPG made that smiley, just sayin'... speaking of which, BadBoooooooooooy! O:<< Don't change anything RPG made including medieval lulz kThxBai. =3 Oh, lao, viking and propeller were real fiddaddlin so I wouldn't change them at all and just keep them original

Sigh - Glad it was changed, i remember people wanted a sleeping/dead looking smiley for ages.
Robber - Looks better imo.
Hardhat|Fireman - Man, i wanted that smiley to be removed ;/, i don't know why people like it, anyways i think the Fireman should look more serious, maybe add some ash marks, like he just went out of a burning building, idk.
Guard - The helmet nose part should be a bit longer to go between his eyes.
Blacksmith - I think the main problem is the hair color, change it to grayish brown (like the otiginal) instead of dark orange, and remove the uni-brow.
Laika|Dog - Love both versions.
Alien - Looked awesome and still looks awesome.
Astronaut - The revamped version reached my favorite top list.
Daredevil - Never liked this smiley, thought it will be removed but watevs.
Mad scientist - Liked the old version better, but the revamp fits the game more. Its missing the evil look.
Headhunter|3D - It took 4 years for the 3D smiley to be added. Glad it's finnaly here.
Winter - The hat looks weird to me.
Fire Demon - Liked the old version better, but the revamp fits the game more. I think it needs to be brighter.
Bishop - Never liked this smiley, also thought this will be removed.
Bruce|Sick - Glad Bruce is saved, but i think the sick should be added two.
Cow - Liked the derppy old one better, but the revamp fits the game more.
Scarecrow - Liked the original better tbh. The skin tone should be bit more pale/yellow
Others - Look great, was waiting for theese revamps for so long.

Man, although i like most of these, i feel like the soldier, blacksmith, and vyking changes are unnecessary, they look great and intuitive as they are. Vyking smiley is even one of my favourites, same for blacksmith

And heck, why change fire demon? I liked the grin smile and lighter collor pallete on it better, but yes i do agree that the top flame is slightly awkward. Maybe play with it a bit more, and get somewhere in-between?

Moved the brim of the Propeller hat down 1 pixel to make it the same size as the old one, made the Mad Scientist look a bit more like the old one too, and recolored the Scarecrow's face. (I will edit the blacksmith and fire-demon shortly.)

I know you have tried to change those smileys to have them all with the correct borders and anti-aliasing, but those changes made me dislike some of the smileys.

For example, I really like the actual dog, even if it is not correct; the alien (they have different head form than humans/smileys); the Headhunter, it is so changed; Fire Demon, the new one looks like if it had hair or spikes; and Bruce, the new smiley looks so scared.

I´ll make a small summary so nobody misunderstands my opinion

Really disliked new smileys/Liked old smileys

Blacksmith has been reverted to previous form, and fire demon has been brightened and made more fiery instead of the spiky look it last had.

Hm, have you tried making the flames start lower and on the sides of the fire demon ? ( starting near the eyes for example )

( Just tried some stuff, I guess it hides the dark border a bit too much )

Just what is the problem with smileys that aren't complete circles, and hats without borders on them? I don't get it. I also don't get why the Scientist, Pirate, Viking, Astronaut, Scarecrow, Robber, Sigh, and Fire Demon needed to be changed in the first place. You really shouldn't be unnecessarily modifying and/or removing half the smileys in the game.
