If your IQ is in the double digits, yeah. A lot of lesser life forms can't appreciate Steven Universe, and they get frustrated and angry at those that do.

No I think it's pretty good! I think there are better shows for sure, but this one is far from overrated. Besides if you don't like it don't watch it, no one is forcing you to watch it.

On-topic: I really liked this weeks and last weeks episode, but I think they should have aired in reverse order. Joy Ride seemed more likely to come after Full Disclosure than Open Book. Maybe it's just me ^^' . I like Open Book a lot though, I can totally relate. I can be very much like Connie when I am opinionated about a book, but I also try not to be to demeaning because I know everyone has different tastes.

I really like Garnet too! I also love Amethyst and Connie. Pearl can be OCD but I don't think she deserves to die. We saw what happens when Pearls not around in Steven the Sword Fighter. Her need for perfection tends to go overboard, but she usually means well in trying to help Steven.

It's emotional and has deep meanings in quite a few episodes (like some of Adventure Time), is great with representing different cultures, races, genders, sexualities, etc., interesting plot...

When I found out Garnet was a fusion I was like mind=blown, and though the gems have no gender I totally took Ruby and Sapphire as a female pairing which says great things for the LGBTQ community. Steven Universe is very openly feminine, without addressing feminine themes directly. Just one of the many reasons I like it so much.

The gems don't have a sex, but they are definitely female gendered. That's always been a peeve of mine, that Sugar clearly doesn't know the difference between sex and gender when giving her little explanation about the gems.

I know Rebecca's views on their sex, but I also agree it's stupid. It also doesn't make sense how if they are not female, then how is Rose Quartz pregnant in Straight to Video?

I prefer to think they are all female, regardless of what Rebecca says. I can understand from a political standpoint why it would be safe to say they have no gender, but really I think people just need to need to take off their granny panties and lighten up. Even if they are really meant to be female, they have done nothing to make them weak/sexist/uninteresting. And even if Ruby and Sapphire and lesbian there is nothing wrong with that. It's who they are

Someone drew a comic where Rose researches on reproductive organs and tries to shapeshift one. That's my personal headcanon lmao
