Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Lets say someone is born in 1960. The highest year they are alive is 1998, but in this year they time travel to the year 1837. They die in 1845. Would the years be something like this?
1960 - 1980, 1837 - 1845.
or maybe it would be in order of the years rather than chronological
1837 - 1845, 1960 - 1980.
or maybe the fact that they traveling the distance of time from 1980 to 1837 you could say
1837 - 1980.
maybe add year of death?
1837 - 1845, 1960 - 1980. Death in 1845.
1837 - 1980. Death in 1845.

I think the first format gives the most accurate representation of the person's life.

thank you for the feedback Yes
I also think that that would be the optimal description
if I was a time traveler who died I would wish for my life's years to be described using that format

Quite frankly, I am surprised and disappointed to see that 1960-1845 was not an option, as I feel that this best fits the current standard of lifeyears. However if time traveling was invented, then I would expect to see something like your first suggestion.
But when do they bury the body and place the headstone? In the 80s where all his friends and family are? Or in the 1840s?

Its quite a mix
if he time travels to before he was born and then dies I believe his headstone should be placed in the year he dies so that his family of the future can visit him when he disappears
also his family may go to the past for all we know
but if someone time travels to the future and his family doesnt... I'm not sure
idk

The problem with the format is if you've lived your life as a time traveler, your life years would just go on as a huge list and that would be very inconvenient to write on a tombstone or urn.

We could make it like a spoiler. Initially it shows birthyear-deathyear but when you tap it, it gives you the whole listthing. By the time we've invented time travel we should be able to do that, right?

This can be used once someone creates a time machine.
This is a false statement.
