A message to those who's first language is not English.

Please do not apologise for not being the best at English, it doesn't have to be perfect and it makes us (the people who's first language is English) feel bad that we don't have to use another language.

For everyone else, do not correct tiny mistakes in what someone says - small spelling mistakes are fine, grammar errors are ok; if the whole meaning of what that person is saying is twisted then you can offer a correction.

Lol, sometimes I see people whose first language isn't english speak better than the people that have always spoke English. I think it's because they see people get mad at others for incorrect grammar so they put more effort into it. I feel as if a lot of the time most people can tell if someone's first language isn't english anyway :P

Admittedly, I usually feel like I edit like 80% of my posts to fix grammar.

English is a terrible language. I completely understand if you're not the best at it, because quite frankly, it's awful lmao. I'm learning German at school and I find it easier.

I agree that English is terrible, but Welsh, imo, takes the cake on the worst language :S

OMG I WAS LEARNING ESPERANTO LAST YEAR. I stopped but it's such a great language you can become fluent in like less than a year.

Actually, spanish is "closely related to english" and is in the easiest category to learn for an English speaker according to The Foreign Service Institute (FSI), and the Telegraph even says it's in the top 10 of easiest languages for native English speakers...
