Man oh man you have no idea! Sorry tumblr spoiled it for you. I was originally reluctant to give this show a try because I couldn't get into the drawing style, but it grew one me. I now find this to be one the most beautiful currently airing cartoons. (This and Gravity falls )

Keep watching though! It gets SOOOOOO good!

I like the show because the episodes are short, but meaningful. They take the story slow and build up the characters over time. It does make it a little harder to get into, but it's definitely worth the payoff in the end. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry.

I also really like the music, especially when Steven plays ukelele.

I binge watched the whole series back when I was high on painkillers after surgery. Can't remember how I found the series originally but whatever. I liked it back then, maybe I'll pick it up again.

I might watch it.

Like most series the events leading up to the main plot were rather mundane. They were slice of life or just general episodes. However, the past few episodes have really started to explore the history and the problems dealing with the crystal gems. I like it because it shows just how strong the gems bond is with Steven, and how while Steven has certainly grown since the beginning there are still childish aspects about him that he still needs to work on.

I mean it's not as good as say, Avatar the last Airbender or Teen Titans, but it's still way better then most other western cartoons.

It's relatively new. It started airing in 2013. There are now 50 episodes. The second season just ended and a third one is set to air in a few days.
