Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

i'm for, because really, there's nothing that makes it addictive, they're less harmful than cigarettes, they chill you out, and less crime is made

Maralize it. Little to few longterm effects on the user (especially compared to something like tobacco), little chance for harm to society (especially if activities like driving are regulated like with alcohol).
I hate tall signatures.

Against. Tobacco should be illegal, too.

I'm pretty much done contributing to this topic, opinion wise, but I'm still interested to hear peoples arguments. If you all are going to say for or against it would be cool to see a reason why. And don't just say it should be illegal because your mom/dad says smoking is bad. Do some research before making generalizations.

Eh, I'm not really for smoking in general, but I also agree that it is a persons right to do so if they wish because it is their body. So I am most likely for legalization as long as it is not interfering with those who disagree with it, such as no busy public places or where kids are present like parks and things like that.

Honestly a fair few of the people for it aren't doing very well at backing up their points as well. You have people saying that there are no down sides after there is clear evidence posted by other people which suggests otherwise.
This is hella gay

I guess mainly the reason for that is the downsides aren't so ridiculously severe, it all comes down on whether or not the government should let adults choose for themselves.

Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.

Considering there really isn't any evidence that Marijuana by itself is harmful (You don't HAVE to smoke it, there are other ways), to the person using it, or anybody around, it should be legalized. It actually has medical benefits to a lot of Chronic Illnesses, some of which I have personally witnessed in my own life. Not to mention, that there are no adverse side effects, and is actually natural, unlike any pain pill any patient would ever be prescribed. Did you know that during WW2, the government actually made videos encouraging people to grow hemp (marijuana) to use as rope for the war, then right after tried to destroy every copy of it? Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9Sdr6ZWcUU
I honestly believe it wouldn't be legal if the government could easily use it to draw up a profit. In fact, right now in Ohio there is a bill trying to legalize it, however, the bill would create a monopoly for the industry in the state, making anybody else growing it, outside of the 5 dispensaries that would be built, completely illegal. Honestly, I don't care if it is never legalized as something to be done recreationally, but to prevent patients from using one thing that could actually help their conditions, instead of being put on 50+ pills a day, that all interact with each other, creating side effects that aren't ideal, is just ridiculous, and then on top of it, try to create a monopoly over the industry is messed up. Do some reading and research (I would probably look up studies done by independent companies, without government involvement), and come up with your own opinion.

I'm against this because yolo
I agree it's not as bad as cigarettes, people who smoke those are the scum of the earth.
Come find me in game!

Im neutral on the subject. It seems making it legal has its benefits and drawbacks. However, I just wanted to comment on how interesting a topic this is, and I am impressed at how mature and professional people are debating this topic. Good stuff.
