i think it's because the previous portals are facing left

Yes, I know, but the momentum should now be going down because the portals are facing down

try rotating those portals down there to face down, if that doesnt work, idk (or are you telling me that you already did it and it still doesn't work?)

Maybe its the gravity in the first portal (down) that changes your direction?

I never really understood portal rotations and how they work. Someone should make a guide on that. Although I don't understand it, I don't think squad's portals should be doing that, so I'm pretty sure that is definitely a bug.
